Playa Grande offers one of the most consistent surf breaks in Costa Rica, perfect for all levels of surfing. Beginners can learn safely in the white water while for more advanced surfers, a short walk down the beach takes you to the main surf break which is one of the premium surfing waves in Costa Rica.
Surf Lessons
Surf lessons are scheduled around the tides to give you the best conditions for your level. Whether it’s your first time surfing or you’re looking to improve your skills, our experienced local instructors will tailor the lesson to you.
Lessons are 2 hours and include a surfboard and rash guard. Private lessons are available, as well as small group lessons with a maximum of 5 students per instructor.
Surfboard Rentals & Surf School
We have a wide selection of surfboards available for daily rental, with options for all levels of surfers.
Our onsite Surf School offers private and small-group lessons for beginners through experienced surfers. Looking for a longer surf experience? We also offer multi-day surf packages combining accommodations and daily surf lessons.
